Be sure to have a full tank before you start. Fill up in Monterey
before you start down to Big Sur. Gas may be a little more in the
Carmel area so I recommend filling in Monterey. Gas prices on the
Monterey Peninsula are comparible to the bay area or less.

When I was down about 2 weeks ago, it was a couple of cents less than
what we are paying in the Sacramento area.
